I have two doggies, Tux and Lady, and like any dogs they enjoy treats. The real treat is Lady's family walk to local pet boutique store, Ruff Life. My big girl Lady, routinely navigates her way sniff-sniffing around Downtown Lombard euphorically, knowing that it's Friday! Lady just likes to strut in a pace that's hard for me to keep up.
Meet Becky Boilek. Owner and operator of Ruff Life - Lombard: a boutique pet necessity store specializing in canine nutrition. As a small business, it's important to her that Ruff Life serve as not just a retail destination, but as a resource for our community and its Pet Parents. Her store provides a platform to feature local artists and craftspeople and their products, and highlight local fundraisers and events. She joyously assisted with Villa Park's Dog Wedding in 2021, where 160 dogs gathered together in the park for an attempt to break Guinness World Records for Largest Dog Wedding Ceremony Villa Park.
Becky is and has always been a dauntless business woman! Prior to moving back to the Midwest in 2015, she was a Human Resources Manager for an Ocean Freight Forwarder and a Field Office Manager for the Department of Labor and Industries in Washington State.
She received a bachelor’s degree from Ball State University in History and Classic Cultures in 1997 and considers herself to be a lifelong learner.
Becky has become a loving neighbor to the Lombard. She loves living in and being a part of the Community in Lombard.
